1. Thomas Brounlie, writer married Marjorie Logan on 20 April 1677.

They had issue:

1. Eupham Brounlie baptised 31 March 1678.

Archibald, brother german to Thomas, writer, appointed tutor to Eupham and Mary.

Eupham Brounlie married Recompence Stenborough, South Leith 17 October 1695.

Eupham Brounlie married John Brown, watchmaker in Edinburgh. She died 29 March 1726 and was buried on 31 March 1726 at Greyfriars Edinburgh.

Eupham Brounlie and John Brown had two well-known grandchildren. John Brown, Scottish portrait painter and author (1749-1787) and Murdoch Brown (1754-1828[2]), a leading light in the early days of the British in Western India.

2. Margaret Brounlie, born 11 April 1680.

3. Alexander Brounlie, born 24 June 1683.

Alexander (Brounlie), taylor (tailor), portioner in Knowhoble and nephew to Alexander of Bankhead, witness 1680[3].

 

Alexander Brownlie (younger) 29 June 1733 in the Parish of Knowhoble[4]
